The month of March is Putman Plumbing’s official “Go Green” month with tips and suggestions on how to both go green and save green in doing so. Be sure to install the most efficient faucets throughout your home. Ensuring you don’t have any leaky faucets is also an important concern. You’ll lose valuable water when you have a dripping faucet, costing you money in the process. You can even ask a plumbing professional to install aerators on your faucets to reduce the water flow.
You can also conserve by turning your water supply off while brushing your teeth or shaving. This will save you a considerable amount of water over the course of a year. Also, only take short, warm showers rather than long, hot baths. Any longer than five minutes is wasting water and draining your wallet! Also, be sure to run FULL dishwashers that are energy efficient models, of course, rather than doing the dishes by hand. It actually uses less water!
